MSD Prevention Grants: Understanding the Eligibility of Ergonomic Equipment

At BIBUS France, we design solutions that meet the challenges of reducing physical exertion, arduousness and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). It is in this logic that some of our equipment can be part of occupational risk prevention systems.

Conditional prevention subsidies

Health Insurance proposes several subsidy schemes to support companies in their investments aimed at improving working conditions. This aid concerns in particular the prevention of MSDs and the improvement of the ergonomics of workstations.

However, eligibility for these subsidies is based on a precise framework that is essential to understand before any investment. Prevention subsidies are neither automatic nor guaranteed.

They are awarded only if the company and the investment project comply with a set of criteria defined by the schemes in force at the time of the application.

Among the measures concerned, we find in particular :

  • TMS Pros Diagnosis / Action
  • Prevention of ergonomic risks
  • TOP BTP (depending on sectors and opening periods))

Each scheme has its own access conditions, financial ceilings, allocation procedures and activation periods.

What types of investments can be supported ?

As part of the « Prevention of ergonomic risks », Financial aid can concern different types of investments related to Improving working conditions. They may relate in particular to :

  • Workplace design, when it aims to reduce physical constraints and ergonomic risks,
  • Contribution to personnel costs mobilised in a prevention approach (time devoted to the analysis, implementation or monitoring of prevention actions),

Eligible investments must be part of a structured approach to the prevention of occupational risks.

Strictly supervised equipment

To be eligible for a prevention subsidy, equipment must precisely meet the technical criteria defined by Health insurance.

These criteria relate in particular to :

  • the nature of the equipment (electric assistance, motorisation, ergonomics, etc.)),
  • its actual use on the workstation,
  • its measurable contribution to the reduction of physical exertion and MSDs,
  • its adequacy with the prevention objectives pursued.

The technical requirements applicable to the equipment are detailed in official specifications made available by the Health Insurance

A product presented as "potentially eligible" must therefore be used in a context that complies with the defined requirements of the grant.

Which companies can benefit from prevention subsidies?

This prevention subsidy is intended for companies covered by the general Social Security scheme, regardless of their size, and, in some cases, for the self-employed workers concerned. Again, the attribution is neither automatic nor guaranteed: it depends on administrative and technical criteria and the system active at the time of the application.

The role of the "Grant" pictogram »

On our website and the BIBUS media, the "Grant" pictogram indicates that a product may be potentially eligible for certain financial aid, under certain conditions. Its objective is to draw attention to the existence of prevention measures, without constituting a commitment.

La décision finale d’attribution appartient exclusivement à l’organisme financeur.
