Electrak® PPA-M Non-Driven Linear Actuators

Non-Driven Linear Guidance Actuator for Parallel Operation and Load Balancing

Thomson

Support with strength – the Electrak PPA-M ensures synchronised motion and stability alongside powered actuators.

The Thomson Electrak® PPA-M is a non-driven linear actuator designed to operate in tandem with powered actuators like the Electrak PPA AC. Used primarily for load balancing, parallel guidance, and structural stability, the PPA-M mirrors the dimensions, stroke lengths, and mechanical characteristics of its driven counterpart, ensuring perfect alignment in multi-actuator systems.

This robust unit includes a worm gear drive system (without a motor) that supports self-locking functionality under static loads. It’s commonly used in industrial automation, heavy lifting platforms, ventilation systems, and machine design projects where load synchronisation is critical but not every point of movement requires actuation.

With a maintenance-free, permanently lubricated design and an IP65-rated enclosure, the Electrak PPA-M is built to perform reliably in challenging environments.

Key Features

  • Non-driven actuator for parallel motion support
  • Stroke lengths from 50 mm to 600 mm
  • Identical mechanical characteristics to Electrak PPA AC
  • Self-locking worm gear system for safety and stability
  • Corrosion-resistant and sealed to IP65 standard
  • Permanently lubricated – maintenance-free
  • Ideal for use in multi-actuator systems and load sharing
  • Silent and efficient operation
  • Compact footprint for tight spaces
  • Supports structural symmetry and precise alignment

Offered by BIBUS (UK) Ltd, the Electrak PPA-M provides a cost-effective, structurally sound solution for applications requiring non-driven linear motion assistance in demanding environments.
