The Areameter, available from BIBUS (UK) Ltd, is a compact and durable field monitoring instrument that accurately records and displays key agronomic metrics—including field area coverage, forward speed, and distance travelled. It offers a cost-effective, reliable alternative to manual record‑keeping or complex GPS systems.

The device features a durable enclosure with a four-character LCD display, two intuitive control buttons, and comes complete with wheel and implement sensors, plus mounting magnets. Once the wheel circumference and implement working width are programmed, the unit continues tracking through power cycles until reconfigured. It supports both metric and imperial measurements and can ignore wheel rotations during implement idle times (e.g. at headlands) while still displaying speed.
