Efficient and Compact Gas Springs for Various Applications

Lockable gas springs provide secure and precise locking at any point along the stroke. A floating piston separates the gas chamber (located at the rear of the cylinder) from the oil chamber (positioned either at the front or rear, depending on the model).
Lockable compression gas springs are equipped with an internal locking mechanism that allows the piston rod to be stopped and locked in any stroke position using an external release system.
Depending on the type of locking required (rigid or elastic), several models of lockable compression gas springs are available to suit different applications.
Type B: Elastic Locking
Available in sizes from 6/15 mm to 22/40 mm, strokes from 100 mm to 800 mm, and forces from 50 N to 6 000 N.
Type K: Rigid Locking in Extension and Relatively Rigid in Compression
Available in sizes from 6/15 mm to 14/40 mm, strokes from 10 mm to 700 mm, and forces from 50 N to 2,600 N
Type P: Rigid Locking in Compression and Relatively Rigid in Extension
Available in sizes from 8/22 mm to 14/40 mm, strokes from 30 mm to 300 mm, and forces from 40 N to 2,600 N
Type KX: Rigid Locking in Compression and Extension
Available in sizes from 10/22 mm to 14/40 mm, strokes from 20 mm to 250 mm, and forces from 0 N to 2,600 N.
Lockable tension gas springs are rigid in both compression and extension.
