JetFlex® TD 65-2G Tube Diffuser

Advanced Aeration Solutions for Enhanced Wastewater Treatment Efficiency

Optimize your wastewater treatment processes with Jäger's JetFlex® TD Series Fine Bubble Tube Diffusers, designed for superior oxygen transfer and operational reliability.

The TD tube diffusers have a two groove polypropylene diffuser body, which ensures a low head loss. EPDM, silicone and PUR are available as membrane materials, with the silicone and PUR membranes being plasticizer-free. In the right combination, the diffusers work reliably even in the highest temperature ranges. They can be adapted to different operating conditions and requirements using different slit patterns and the standard diameters of the diffusers are 65 mm or 90 mm. The active length of the diffusers varies between 200 and 1200 mm, with standard lengths of 500 mm, 750 mm and 1000 mm. By combining different lengths, uniform installation is also possible in unusual tank geometries and round tanks. This is one of the reasons why high diffuser densities can be achieved. Thanks to an extensive range of accessories, the aerators can be attached to steel or plastic pipes with various connection options. This also enables quick and easy installation, even during operation.

Key Features of Disc Diffusers

  • High Oxygen Transfer Efficiency – The precision die-cut openings facilitate superior oxygen transfer, leading to optimized wastewater treatment.
  • Durable Construction – Equipped with a glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene body plate and ring, these diffusers offer enhanced strength and longevity.
  • Versatile Membrane Materialsvailable in various materials, including EPDM, TPU and Silicone, to accommodate diverse wastewater characteristics.
  • Flexible Sizing OptionsStandard lengths of 0.5 m, 0.75 m, and 1.0 m allow for selecting equipment tailored to the specific needs of the system.
  • Easy Installation Compatible with both 3-inch and 4-inch IPS pipes, as well as 90-mm and 110-mm diameter metric pipes of any thermoplastic material, facilitating straightforward integration into existing systems.

Applications

Wastewater Treatment

  • Municipal wastewater treatment plants rely on disc diffusers for aeration in activated sludge systems to support microbial degradation of pollutants.
  • Industrial wastewater treatment facilities use them for biological oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) reduction.

Sludge Stabilization

  • Enhances aerobic digestion processes by supplying oxygen to break down organic matter in sludge.

Aeration of Rivers and Lakes

  • Used in environmental restoration projects to improve dissolved oxygen levels in stagnant water bodies, reducing eutrophication.

Biogas Plant Operations

  • Facilitates the pre-treatment of concentrate and leachate from biogas production processes, improving overall system efficiency.

Industrial Applications

  • Pulp and Paper Industry: Ensures proper aeration in wastewater generated from paper production.
  • Petrochemical & Refining: Used in ozone aeration for water treatment and neutralization processes.
  • Food & Beverage Industry: Helps manage oxygen transfer in effluent treatment systems.

CO₂ Fumigation & Ozone Aeration

  • Used in neutralization processes by aerating CO₂ into water to control pH levels.
  • Ozone aeration applications help in advanced oxidation processes for treating contaminated water.

Protection of Water Bodies from Freezing

  • Aerators are effectively used to create ice-free zones in ponds, artificial lakes, and industrial reservoirs. Thanks to the continuous air supply, they maintain water circulation, preventing ice formation

Advantages

Disc diffusers come with different membrane options tailored for specific applications:

EPDM: Best suited for municipal wastewater treatment.

Low Plasticizer EPDM: Ideal for food, beverage, and animal processing industries.

Silicone: Suitable for chemical, petrochemical, pulp, and paper industries.

Specific accessories for disc diffusers

We offer stainless steel and plastic connectors for square pipes to mount the diffusers to square pipes. These can also be adapted to existing pipes using adapters. In special installation situations, the diffusers can be installed individually by using a blind plug or, if necessary, supported at the end with end plugs and floor brackets. We offer replacement membranes for membrane exchange. These can be fitted to the old diffuser body using a stainless steel clamp and suitable clamping pliers.
