Philanthropy

The goal of BIBUS Ukraine’s charity programs is to assist former residents of orphanages who are facing difficult life circumstances and need support. This assistance is provided, among other ways, through cooperation with the Kyiv Children and Youth Support Center.

The Kyiv Children and Youth Support Center is a charitable organization established in 2004 to meet the urgent needs of orphanage graduates, particularly those with special needs, as they transition to independent living. The Center was founded by former students and staff of Boarding School No. 12 for orphans in Kyiv.

From 2004 to 2022, the Center's charitable programs focused on the social integration of orphans and youth with special needs, helping them find employment and housing, and addressing various social issues. The Center also conducted life skills training, organized excursions, sports competitions, and other activities for orphanage residents and staff.

Since February 24, 2022, the Center has shifted its focus to supporting graduates of orphanages and boarding schools affected by the war. The organization assists these young individuals with evacuations from combat zones, securing temporary housing, accessing psychological and legal support, and providing essential resources such as financial aid, food, and medicine. Additionally, the Center supports orphanage graduates who have been mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Key Beneficiaries of the Kyiv Children and Youth Support Center:

• Graduates of orphanages and boarding schools, including institutions for children with developmental disabilities, who are raising young children, have disabilities, and/or are internally displaced persons (IDPs).
• Special School No. 12 in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, which serves 210 children with developmental disabilities.
• Other vulnerable children and youth facing difficult life circumstances.
