Bottle Vacuums with Sensing Valve, VSBO, VSBO+

COVAL has designed a complete series of 4.5 bellows suction cups to meet the needs of bottle handling applications, featuring a detection valve, internal reinforcements, a 40 X 95 mm gripping lip suitable for gripping 75 cl bottles, and the ability to limit leakage in the vacuum line when a bottle is missing.

The VSBO and VSBO+ suction cup technology includes two different mechanical detection valves that isolate the relevant suction cup when a bottle is missing. This system offers a long stroke distance and high flexibility in packaging and depalletizing applications, while also enhancing the lifting force by including:

  • An upper insert,
  • Three internal reinforcements inside the bellows,
  • A lower reinforcement or triggering plate.

Materials

Vacuum Suction Cups:

  • NBR: Nitrile Rubber
  • NR: Natural Rubber

Detection Valve Technologies

CH2 Mechanical Detection Valve:

The CH2 valve is triggered by pressure applied to the vacuum suction cup by the internal reinforcement, which is called the "trigger plate". It is only compatible with stainless steel reinforcement plates (D6P version).

CH4 Mechanical Detection Valve:

The CH4 valve opens due to pressure applied to the vacuum suction cup by the "trigger plate" at the bottom. It is compatible with stainless steel reinforcement wires or plates (D5P and D6P versions).

Reinforcements

D5P Version:

  • 3 internal reinforcements: Stainless steel wire
  • 1 lower reinforcement: Polypropylene

D6P Version:

  • 3 internal reinforcements: Stainless steel plate
  • 1 lower reinforcement: Polypropylene

Mounting Hole Distance

The VSBO and VSBO+ suction cups offer two different mounting hole distance options: 30 mm or 45 mm.

The VSBO+ suction cups come with an integrated seal for easier installation.
