Angular Jaw Clamps, PA series

The PA Series Angular Jaw Clamps are used in robotics, the plastics industry, and manipulator systems in general. They are especially recommended for use in injection press unloading robots.

It is recommended to select a clamp with a theoretical force that is at least twice the required effective force. The clamping forces given in the table below are theoretical values and were obtained at 6 bar pressure. The gripping force is inversely proportional to the distance between the gripping point and the pivot point.

For example, the clamping force for a PA 20 clamp with a gripping point 25 mm away from the pivot point is calculated as follows:

F = 10.1 (according to the table below) x 15/25 = 6.06 kg

The weight of the objects to be handled is added to the weight of the clamp, and this total value must not exceed 1/20 of the force applied at the gripping point. The opening and closing speed of the fingers can be adjusted using a compressed air regulator.

  • DE (Double Acting): Clamp opens and closes with compressed air
  • SEF (Single Acting, Closing): Closes with compressed air, opens with return spring
  • SE0 (Single Acting, Opening): Opens with compressed air, closes with return spring
