Americardan 5000 and 3000 Series U-Joints

It is designed to operate with high misalignment angles (up to 15º). The bearing and seal design provides resistance against oil loss and contamination. It is ideal for use in demanding atmospheric conditions. Due to superior materials and tight tolerances, it is proven to reduce vibration levels in rolling mills.

5000 Series, The 5000 Series are high torque capacity designs and are especially suitable for applications with diameter restrictions, such as cold rolling mills. Catalog sizes range from 225 mm to 860 mm swing diameters, with a maximum peak torque capacity of 5647 kNm Special designs with swing diameters over 1200 mm are offered for higher torque requirements.

3000 Series, The 3000 Series is rated for high misalignment angles and catalog sizes range from 55 mm to 860 mm swing diameters, with a maximum peak torque capacity of 3153 kNm. Special, high-torque designs are available with swing diameters over 1000 mm. Sizes 3440 and above incorporate a unique internal bearing design within the bearing package, thereby reducing routine maintenance costs by approximately 50%
