Steel-Reinforced Belt-Driven Linear Units Providing High Performance

The PLUS SYSTEM series of linear actuators are highly protected linear units featuring a self-supporting extruded and anodized aluminum structure and a steel-reinforced belt. It is an extremely robust product group with high performance in terms of controlling torsional force, speed, and acceleration.

Corrosion-Resistant Model

All Plus System series linear actuators are suitable for applications in dirty environments and/or those subject to frequent washing, thanks to their use of stainless steel material.

Plus System linear units are manufactured using anodized extruded Antichorodal 6060 and 6082 aluminum profiles, onto which text AISI 303 and 404 C STAINLESS steel components (bearings, guides, bolts, and units with very low carbon content) are mounted, preventing or delaying corrosion caused by the presence of moisture in the environment where they are used.

Linear actuators with a lubrication system realized using special non-residue surface treatments and biodegradable vegetable oils can be used in extremely sensitive applications such as the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

The PLUS SYSTEM series consists of 3 different products with various features: ELM, ROBOT, SC.

PLUS SYSTEM – ELM

This product group is Rollon's most flexible, belt-driven linear actuator group.

ELM linear units are available in four sizes, ranging from 50 mm to 110 mm. It has a robust structure with a self-supporting anodized and extruded aluminum profile. Drive power is provided via a steel-reinforced polyurethane belt. The motion is precisely operated and supported by a guide system or an optional roller system.

A polyurethane cover strip completely protects the belt and guide system from dust, dirt, chips, liquids, and other contaminants. It is more effective than other covering systems, such as stainless steel strips.

The components used for linear motion lubricant reservoirs, caged ball bearings, and double-lip seals provide a maintenance-free system. Pulleys, bearings, and transmission shafts are the most robust models used in the industry. The ELM product group is the best solution for applications in extremely aggressive working conditions requiring high-speed operating cycles and positioning repeatability.

PLUS SYSTEM – ROBOT

The ROBOT series is highly suitable for heavy-load applications where significant stroke, path, and roller movements are applied, or for the linear transfer of SCARA-type arm robots on a factory automation line. With its robust and substantial load capacity, the ROBOT series is the linear actuator group suitable for the most demanding applications.

The ROBOT series linear units are available in four sizes, ranging from 100 mm to 220 mm, and have a rigid structure with a heavy, rectangular, and cross-section anodized aluminum extruded profile. Drive power is provided via a steel-reinforced polyurethane belt. The motion takes place on two parallel guides with four self-lubricating, maintenance-free caged ball blocks positioned to support the load and all torsional moments. Multiple independent or idler carriage models are available to further increase load or torsional moment capacity.

A polyurethane cover strip completely protects the belt from dirt, chips, liquids, and other contaminants.

The ROBOT series is the most suitable solution for high-speed, fluctuating load, and torsional force applications in aggressive environments where repeatable, maintenance-free industrial automation is required.

PLUS SYSTEM – SC

The SC series linear units are produced to meet vertical movement needs, especially in gantry (skeletal) applications or applications where the aluminum profile needs to move while the carriage remains fixed. The SC linear actuators, available in three sizes 65 mm, 130 mm, and 160 mm have a self-supporting anodized aluminum extruded profile structure (square profile for SC 65). The SC is a very rigid vertical system guaranteed by the use of two parallel guides, four maintenance-free caged ball blocks, and a very wide belt.

The SC Series is designed for heavy loads and high-cycle applications. Furthermore, they are designed and configured to be compatible with and mounted to the ROBOT Series actuators without the need for adapter plates.
