NIASA FHM/AHM Series electromechanical actuators were developed from the FM/AM Series for the specific requirements of the solar energy production sector (photovoltaic, thermo-solar, etc.). They can also be used in other applications with harsh environmental conditions.
The gearbox is round and not cubic, and the input shaft offers the possibility of connecting directly to any drive. Additionally, the D variant includes a second reduction stage, thereby avoiding the use of additional reducers in solar trackers or similar applications where very slow feed rates are required.
Advantages
- Greater motion and positioning accuracy.
- Greater safety due to their non-reversibility (from NIASA) in many configurations and/or the inclusion of different braking devices.
- Superior energy efficiency, as their components—especially ball screws—offer high/very high performance with low transmission ratios and high speeds.
- Easier and faster assembly, with only one electric motor on the unit, as hydraulic or pneumatic groups are not required.
- Greater reliability and duration due to mechanical robustness and structural simplicity, resulting in less maintenance.
- Possibility of operating in multiple positions.
- Lower dimensions for the same load capacity.
Screw supports are also characterized by offering a wide range of:
- Axial load capacities from 5 kN to 250 kN.
- Feed speeds depending on the screw pitch and gearbox. Three possible reductions are offered per actuator size, ranging from 4:1 to 160:1
- Trapezoidal and ball screws, depending on the required performance, motion accuracy, and positioning, etc.
- Fastening of accessories and elements for optimum adaptation.
- Control and safety systems (mechanical / inductive limit switches, absolute / incremental encoders, etc.).
- Surface coatings depending on the environmental conditions where the unit will be installed.
- For the ram (or stem), two types of outer casing are available: steel round tube and aluminum extrusion profile.
