Compact Rail is a linear system consisting of steel linear rails with induction-hardened raceways and high-precision ball bearing radial carriages made of hardened steel. Thanks to their self-aligning features, Compact Rail linear guides simplify the project, increase performance, and reduce the overall application cost. Compact Rail linear guides can be easily mounted on all types of surfaces, including unmachined ones.
Compact Rail linear guides feature a robust steel carriage with ball bearings, self-centering heads equipped with scrapers, longitudinal seals to protect internal components, and an upper sealing strip. The carriage body has a matte longitudinal edge chamfer and a precisely ground, shiny flat surface. The carriage heads are equipped with special flexible felt pads and are free to rotate so as not to impede the movement of the carriage, ensuring the felts are always in contact with the raceways to provide optimal lubrication. The felts can be lubricated only via a syringe lubricator through a special grease filling port located on the front of the head.
The raceways are located within the C-profile and are therefore protected from foreign substances. Additionally, the seals on the carriage and the different available anti-corrosion treatments make the Compact Rail linear guides reliable even in more demanding environments.
Key Features
The Compact Rail consists of three product groups: the T-rail with fixed bearings, the U-rail with compensating bearings, and the K-rail with floating bearings. These can be combined to form self-aligning systems to compensate for misalignment in two planes: axially up to 3.9 mm and radially up to ±2°
Compact Rail Plus linear guides feature new, robust steel carriages with double-row ball bearings for higher load capacities, hard rails with convex raceways, and floating scrapers providing longitudinal protection. Compact Rail Plus is designed for the most demanding applications in terms of load capacity, dynamism, and operating environment. In addition to these features, they retain the self-aligning (misalignment tolerance) capabilities that make this product family unique.
Four versions of carriages are available: the fixed carriage (RV); the floating carriage (RP); the extra floating carriage (RU); and the rotating carriage (RA). The combination of two rails with different carriages makes it possible to create self-aligning systems that can compensate for misalignment occurring in two planes: axial up to 3.5 and radial up to ±1,3°
