SM Series mill shafts are specially designed and primarily used in various rolling mill drive systems, ranging from heavy-duty hot reversing roughing mills to high-speed cold rolling mills. The shafts used in these applications are typically limited by the minimum roll diameter and must withstand continuously high loads. Furthermore, they must also accommodate high misalignment angles due to varying material thicknesses, roll sizes, and roll change requirements.
