Type ASNU is a roller type freewheel without bearings. It is crucial to ensure that the freewheel is supported, lubricated and sealed correctly, as these functions are not provided by the freewheel itself.

Detailed information

Application examples

The nominal dimension of the outer diameter corresponds to the dimensions of ball bearing series 63. This freewheel is typically installed directly next to a bearing of this type. The same installation tolerances should be allowed for both the bearing and the freewheel.

The outer diameter of the outer race has an n6 tolerance and the fit of the locating bore should have a tolerance of H7. There are also notches in the end faces of the outer race for transmitting the torque.

The end-face notches are not required if the housing is manufactured with a K6 tolerance. However, the housing must be dimensionally stable to ensure reliable support for the outer race.

The axial play of the freewheel allows both races to be moved to either side by the dimension S/2. This enables a certain degree of flexibility when customising the freewheel for your application.
