Type AS is a roller type freewheel without bearings. It is extremely important to ensure that the freewheel is supported, lubricated and sealed correctly, as these functions are not provided by the freewheel itself.

Application examples
The installation dimensions are the same as for ball bearing series 62. This freewheel is typically installed directly next to a bearing of this type. The same installation tolerances should be allowed for both the bearing and the freewheel.
The inner race is usually keyed to the shaft, with the exception of 6 mm bores. The outer diameter of the outer race has an R6 tolerance and the fit of the locating bore should have a tolerance of H7.
The housing must be dimensionally stable to ensure reliable support for the outer race. The axial play of the freewheel allows both races to be moved to either side by the dimension S/2. This offers a certain degree of flexibility when customising the freewheel for your application.
