Pop-Off – when rotation without media is possible

Pop-Off – when rotation without media is possible

The seal rings on this type of rotary union are closed when under pressure. When depressurised, the seal rings separate from each other, thereby creating a small gap (hence the Pop-Off ® name). This eliminates friction and seal wear during use without the need for cooling lubricant. This allows “dry running” of the rotary unions in the depressurised state for an unlimited period of time, even at high speeds.

AutoSense – self-adjusting: These rotary unions represent the pinnacle of all mechanical seal technologies, combining the best of the “Closed Seal,” Pop-Off, and “controlled leakage” technologies. Consequently, this design is suitable for cooling lubricants and MQL (minimum quantity lubrication), and can be used without restriction for compressed air at pressures of up to 10 bar and maximum speed.

SpindleShield – leakage monitoring

SpindleShield – leakage monitoring

Deublin rotary unions for cooling lubricants are designed for a long service life. However, as they are installed deep inside a machining centre, it can be difficult to judge when a worn rotary union needs to be replaced. The SpindleShield® technology protects the spindles against coolant ingress by warning the machine operator of any unusual leaks.
