Operation of the control units is fully pneumatic and the units are highly reliable

Operation of Piab control units is fully pneumatic and the units are highly reliable. The pneumatic design also removes any source of ignition from the system and at the same time simplifies the validation process.

Control unit PPT/RS

• Controls the functions of the vacuum conveyor.
• Fully pneumatic.
• The maximum recommended distance between the control unit and the vacuum conveyor is 10 metres with a feed pressure of 0.6 MPa.

Control unit CU-1A/B, CU-2A/B

• Controls the functions of the vacuum conveyor
• Fully pneumatic
• The maximum recommended distance between the control unit and the vacuum conveyor is 10 metres with a feed pressure of 0.6 MPa
• Function of the CU-1/2A: The bottom valve is open when the vacuum conveyor is switched off
• Function of the CU-1/2B: The bottom valve is closed when the vacuum conveyor is switched off.
• Function of the CU-2: Pipe emptying function between every conveying cycle.

• Level sensor/capacitive sensor must be ordered separately.

Control unit VU EP-1

Valve control unit with electro-pneumatic valves that can be used to control PIAB vacuum conveying systems with an external PLC or similar electrical control system.

Simple installation: Prepared ready for connection to the vacuum conveyor’s main functions: start pump, open bottom valve, close bottom valve, fluidization and filter shock.

Ready-prepared with six electro-pneumatic valve connections. The control unit is supplied with four valves and two unused spare positions.

The control unit has an electrical connection with an 8-pin M12x1 plug connector. The control unit is supplied with a connection cable (L = 2 m), which is fitted with a plug connector at one end.
