Series FCF flat, concave friction suction cups (25 – 125 mm)

Oil-resistant suction cups prevent deformation of workpieces

Piab

The friction cups with the FCF design are specifically intended for oily, slightly curved and flat surfaces without causing the deformation of thinner objects

The FCF-P suction cups are suitable for oily, slightly curved and flat surfaces, e.g. metal sheets in press lines

The FCF-P design is suitable for oily, slightly curved and flat surfaces, e.g. when handling metal sheets in press lines. The suction cups are equipped with support cleats to prevent thin objects from being deformed. The key features of the DURAFLEX material are that it combines the elasticity of rubber with the wear resistance of polyurethane and leaves no traces of material behind on the objects to be handled.

  • The products known as “friction cups” have been specially developed for oily surfaces, such as the sheet metal used in forming technology.
  • Normal friction cup wear does not affect the friction resistance of the suction cup in the long term.
  • The best choice when there is more than 0.1 g/m² of (press) oil on the sheet surface.
  • Thanks to its excellent grip on oily surfaces, the friction cup has a friction resistance that is up to 2 to 4 times higher than that of comparable “conventional” suction cups when high transverse forces are at play.
  • The “FCF” design is intended for slightly curved and flat surfaces, e.g. for applications such as handling steel sheets in press lines.
  • The suction cups are equipped with support cleats to prevent thin objects from being deformed.
  • DURAFLEX suction cups are made from a specially developed material that combines the elasticity of rubber materials with the wear resistance of polyurethane. This material leaves no visible impression marks.
