Stepper motor configuration with rotating nut (MLN)

The NEMA motor with internally rotating nuts – in lengths of up to 812 mm and with various end mounting options

Thomson

The MLN units rely on an innovative patented technology, whereby a threaded nut is integrated into the motor rotor. This enables the largest possible lead screw diameter and significantly increases the load capacity.

MLN stepper motors show their true strengths when used in gripping devices for rotating and positioning
gripper heads and attachments

This version is ideal if there is not supposed to be any visible rotary motion or if loads have to be moved on both sides of the motor.

The MLN units have a nut that rotates inside the stepper motor housing. The motion is achieved either by fixing the stepper motor in place and moving the load attached to the threaded nut, or by fixing the lead screw in place and moving a load attached to the motor. These flexible solutions offer innovative technology for precise motion control.

Features

  • Flexible motion control: Load can be moved by fixing the motor in place or fixing the lead screw in place.
  • Efficient solutions: MLN units offer innovative and efficient solutions for precise motion control.

Benefits

Patented integration: Unique technology that integrates a threaded nut into the motor rotor.

Largest possible lead screw diameter: Increased load capacity for demanding applications.

All kinds of applications: Ideal for applications where there should be no visible rotation or when loads have to be moved on both sides of the motor.
