XD, HD, LL, MD – Actuators for industrial applications

Electrak XD heavy-duty electric linear actuator

Thomson

An actuator that can withstand the harshest conditions (IP69k) and any weather (-40° to 85°C)

Electrak XD

The Thomson Electrak XD is a powerful electric linear actuator that has been designed to replace hydraulic systems. It offers truly impressive performance: dynamic/static loads of up to 25/32 kN, stroke lengths of up to 1200 mm and speeds of up to 75 mm/s. It is equipped with a built-in load holding brake, an optional shock absorber and a manual override function for actuation in the event of a power failure, along with integrated control to keep everything more firmly under your command. The Electrak XD is compact, efficient, resistant to environmental influences and meets the requirements of various protection classes, from IP69K to IP66.

Electrak HD

Because of the greater force that is possible and – on request – the longer stroke, the Electrak HD can also accommodate applications that are beyond the reach of other electric linear actuators.

The Thomson Electrak HD is optionally available with synchronisation!

Synchronisation allows the integrated movement of several actuators.

Features

  • Stroke length of up to 1000 mm
  • Lifting capacity of up to 16 kN (16,000 N)
  • Temperature range: - 40°C to + 85°C
  • IP69K/IP67 protection class (static)
  • IP66 protection class (dynamic)
  • Connection voltages: 12 / 24 / 48 VDC
  • Optional CANopen or SAE J1939 CAN bus connection
  • Installing several synchronised actuators provides designers with the following benefits: a more stable stroke (and potentially a faster one), no need for additional guidance and better handling of asymmetrical loads.
  • The integration of the control into the actuators simplifies installation and system wiring.
  • Perfect for lift tables, engine bonnets and other equipment where the design must accommodate unevenly distributed or off-centre loads.

Electrak LL – the new long-life actuator

Thanks to its durability, the Electrak LL can also be used in cases where there was previously little or no chance of using electric linear actuators
because of their limited life expectancy. This advantage is particularly important for industrial applications where systems often have to run around the clock

Features:

  • Long life expectancy
  • High duty cycle
  • Constant speed independent of the load
  • Designed and tested for the toughest ambient conditions
  • Complies with railway standards EN 50155, EN 60077 and EN 45545
  • Integrated electronics eliminate the need for separate control units
  • Perfect for switching over to electric actuators from hydraulic or pneumatic solutions

Electrak MD

Designed as a smaller companion to the Electrak HD®, these smart electric linear actuators deliver an impressive amount of power relative to their compact size – and will happily run under even the most adverse ambient conditions without requiring any maintenance. Their integrated control functions open the door to a wide range of possibilities – whether that be a CAN bus connection or low-current switching with and without position feedback.

Max Jac electric linear actuator

THOMSON’s powerful linear actuator for the toughest of operating conditions (IP69K)

The Max Jac can be used for a wide range of applications, but its true strength lies in tackling the toughest of operating conditions. Every component of the actuator has been designed for durability, reliability and high performance.

Features

  • Duty cycle of up to 100%
  • Temperature range: - 40°C to + 85°C
  • Long service life
  • High degree of corrosion protection
  • Short overall length compared to the stroke length
  • Vibration-resistant

Load Master – LM80 rodless compact unit

Complete compact unit

Powerful and reliable spindle drives for horizontal and vertical applications.
Compact and predefined configurations based on the integrated electric motor.

Features

  • Speeds from 13 to 110 mm/s
  • Lifting capacity of up to 2000 N
  • Stroke length of up to 1500 mm
  • Low weight and quiet operation
  • Maintenance-free

Electro-hydraulic linear actuator

Warner H-Track products have a patented fluid power system that offers high load capacities for extreme applications. In addition, they feature a more compact installation size than actuators with an identical load rating, as well as ingress protection and corrosion resistance.

The concept involves connecting an external gear pump to a combined reservoir/actuator, making the H-Track the most impact resistant of all the Warner actuators.

Features

  • Stroke length of up to 406 mm
  • Lifting capacity of up to 21,350 N
  • Speeds of almost 100 mm/s
  • Temperature range: -26°C to +65°C. -40°C to +54°C
  • IP69K (dynamic) / IP67 (static)
  • Piston rod does not require external anti-twist protection
