TNS SX elastomer jaw coupling

Compensates for angular, radial and axial shaft misalignment within defined ranges

The TNS SX coupling is a torsionally flexible, fail-safe jaw coupling that is particularly suitable for mounting on hydrodynamic turbo couplings. The coupling transmits the torque via elastic buffers that are under compressive stress and are made of synthetic rubber (Pb) – with Pb82 used as standard – or polyurethane (Vk). The buffers are interconnected to form an intermediate ring. The flexible intermediate ring dampens shocks and torsional vibrations, and is oil-resistant. Intermediate rings made of rubber are electrically conductive. The coupling can be used with any direction of rotation and in any installation position.
