Multi-piece design with short hubs.
Thanks to the multi-piece hub, the intermediate ring can be replaced without having to move the coupling or machine axially. The intermediate ring can be replaced by lifting out the claw rings.
The TNS SDD-5 coupling is a torsionally flexible, fail-safe, multi-piece jaw coupling with standard flange hubs and removable claw rings. It compensates for angular, radial and axial shaft misalignment within defined ranges. The coupling transmits the torque via elastic buffers that are under compressive stress and are made of synthetic rubber (Pb) or polyurethane (Vk) – with VkR used as standard. The buffers are interconnected to form an intermediate ring. The flexible intermediate ring dampens shocks and torsional vibrations, and is oil-resistant. Intermediate rings made of Perbunan are electrically conductive.
