Application examples
These freewheels come without oil lubrication and are generally used as overrunning clutches or indexing freewheels. The outer race has a keyway for transmitting the torque. The designation “D7” refers to an end cover with two screws on the circumference that can be used for filling and draining the oil and for checking the oil level.
The unit is sealed using V-rings. Both the cover and the seals are designed to allow leak-free oil filling without generating excessive friction or drag torque. This ensures that the freewheel functions reliably.
