The larger “soft contact” types from the SC²300 to SC²650 series rely on ACE’s special piston tubes. As a result they can absorb up to three times more energy than the standard SC190 to SC925 types of a similar size. In addition, a membrane accumulator – also known as an airbag – takes the place of conventional absorber materials. This membrane accumulator serves as a compensation element for the oil displaced in the shock absorber, thereby increasing process reliability even more.
These shock absorbers are particularly suitable for applications such as rotary modules and are available in various weight ranges with an integrated positive stop. They are maintenance-free and are supplied ready for immediate use. The side load adapter option allows impact angles of up to 25°.
These miniature shock absorbers offer high performance and a long service life and are primarily used for handling and automation tasks where safety and efficiency play an important role.
