The shock absorber plates from the SLAB product family – also known simply as SLAB plates – are made from a viscoelastic PUR material and are extremely effective at absorbing impact loads. They are also suitable for isolating and damping vibrations.
The SLAB plates are available in various sizes – from SL-030 to SL-300 – and can be quickly customised to the specific requirements of the application concerned. This can either be done with the help of a calculation tool or with the direct support of ACE specialist engineers. A new cutting system also allows the standard material to be cut quickly and precisely to match individual customer requirements. Samples can also be produced in advance with a view to identifying the optimum solution.
SLAB shock absorber plates are frequently used for impact or collision protection and are found in a variety of areas, such as baggage and conveyor belts; conveyor systems; pneumatic, electromechanical and hydraulic drives; and linear slides.
