The TNS S-BT coupling is a torsionally flexible, fail-safe jaw coupling with a brake drum attached
Version with standard hubs and brake drum.
The coupling compensates for angular, radial and axial shaft misalignment within defined ranges and transmits the torque via elastic buffers that are under compressive stress and are made of synthetic rubber (Pb) or polyurethane (Vk) – with VkR used as standard. The buffers are interconnected to form an intermediate ring. The flexible intermediate ring dampens shocks and torsional vibrations, and is oil-resistant. The coupling can be used with any direction of rotation and in any installation position. The brake drum should be assigned to the load side.
At least one coupling hub must be removed before the intermediate ring can be replaced.
