Application examples
Only this inner race is suitable for the overrunning motion. In contrast to other models, the freewheel is supported by bearings in this case and is used as an overrunning clutch in auxiliary or starter drives. In such applications, the overrun speed is high but the driving speed is low. It is essential not to exceed the speed values specified in the relevant tables.
The RIZ basic unit is used in combination with an EL... elastic coupling and a G2 cover. This type of coupling is particularly suitable for applications that involve high torsional vibrations and makes it possible to compensate for installation errors without excessively increasing the load on the bearings.
The inner race must perform the overrunning motion and is therefore connected to the driven shaft. If you order a complete unit, it is supplied pre-filled with grease, enabling easier maintenance and installation. Units can be installed both horizontally and vertically in order to meet the different requirements of various application areas.
