The element that determines the properties of the Zerko clutch is the flexible insert – two steel discs connected by an appropriately shaped elastomer.
The insert’s elastomer is susceptible to deformation and has good damping properties – it absorbs torsional vibrations, compensates for deviations in the setting of connected devices and prevents the transfer of vibrations between the drive system elements.
The flexible part of the insert is made of an elastomer composed on the basis of rubber. It can operate at temperatures from -40 to +90°, it shows high chemical resistance (acids, bases, hot technological steams, etc.) - only continuous and direct contact with petrol or oil can negatively affect its durability.
Low susceptibility to electrification and accumulation of electrostatic charges and flame retardancy allow for work in underground conditions of hard coal mines with methane explosion hazard level "b" and "c" (ruling of the State Mining Authority No. AT-87/92).
