Vorwald series SPA expansion coupling
The Vorwald expansion couplings with ledges are based on the proven design of the series A winding shaft. These couplings feature free-moving ledges, with a hard-wearing, seamless bladder located in each sleeve. This ensures a long service life, even under demanding operating conditions. The internal bladder is designed for a permanent load of 6 bar.
The Vorwald expansion coupling makes a cost-effective alternative to the conventional mechanical designs used in label printing. This expansion coupling can be used in both winding directions and enables secure clamping, both in terms of reliable torque transmission and preventing axial displacement.
The coupling body is made of aluminium and its simple design makes it light and easy to handle, even with larger diameters. The ledges are located in compartments and can expand and retract easily due to their freedom of movement.
This arrangement allows for a larger inner diameter compared to similar designs, meaning that the couplings can be mounted on larger rods or winding shafts. The standard version is attached using a clamping ring, but flange versions are also available. This makes the Vorwald expansion couplings with ledges a versatile solution for various applications.
