Unlike traditional couplings, the SMB series can be either pushed directly onto the carrier shaft or flange-mounted—making it suitable for a wide range of integration scenarios. The coupling allows clamping of one or multiple narrow cores across its full width, offering great flexibility for applications that involve narrow web materials.

Flexible Sizing & Custom Adaptability

The SMB series is available in standard diameters of 75 mm (3 inches) and 150 mm (6 inches), with custom sizes up to 300 mm on request. Lengths can be tailored to meet individual application requirements, offering economic advantages especially for longer formats—something uncommon in many pneumatic couplings.

Robust Bladder System with Easy Maintenance

Each expansion ledge is supported by a pneumatic bladder rated for up to 6 bar pressure, enabling safe operation even when partially loaded or used without a core. These bladders are easily replaceable from the outside, minimizing downtime and maintenance effort.

Mounting Options
