Based on the design of the MB shafts
Loads of up to 6 bar with easy maintenance and a low dead weight.
The series SMB expansion couplings from Vorwald are based on the proven design of the MB shafts. These couplings offer versatile mounting options, as they can be pushed onto a carrier shaft or mounted directly on a bearing flange.
One or more extremely narrow reels can be clamped across the entire width of the coupling. Special diameters of up to 300 mm are also available in addition to the standard diameters of 75 mm (3") and 150 mm (6"), and the length of the expansion couplings can be customised to your requirements. In contrast to our other coupling types, longer lengths are also economically feasible.
There is an expansion bladder under each ledge that can withstand loads of up to 6 bar. This can be quickly replaced from the outside if necessary. There is no risk of the bladder bursting even if clamping is performed without a core or with the core(s) only partially in place. The expansion couplings can be attached to the carrier shaft using either a split clamping ring or set screws.
Thus, the SMB series offers a flexible and robust solution for various applications and enables easy customisation to individual requirements.
