Compact brakes for precise tension control in unwinding systems.
Double Disc Brakes (DSB) offer reliable, adjustable torque for smooth and efficient web handling.
Double Disc Brakes (DSB) are essential components in unwinding systems where precise web tension control is critical. As material is unwound and the winding diameter decreases, the brake torque must be adjusted accordingly to maintain constant tension. DSB units are designed to handle this dynamic requirement efficiently.
The regulation of brake torque can be achieved either manually or pneumatically, depending on the specific application and level of automation desired. Pneumatic models operate effectively at 5 bar (72.5 psi) and can deliver consistent, high-torque performance.
For optimal integration, DSB brakes can be coupled with Boschert chucks. It's important to ensure that these chucks are ordered with the appropriate shaft ends to match the brake type being used.
All models deliver 0.6 kW performance, with torque ranging up to 440 Nm (324 ft·lb) in Membran II versions.
Compact and powerful, DSB brakes are ideal for web handling where space is limited but performance is essential. They provide a robust, efficient solution for maintaining web tension, supporting smooth and controlled unwinding across various industrial applications.
