The new K8DV miniature valve was developed for analytical technology in medical and chemical applications
Camozzi series K8DV micro valve for liquid media, cartridge design, nominal width of 0.1 mm
The new K8DV miniature valve was developed for analytical technology in medical and chemical applications. The amount of space available in analytical devices is constantly shrinking, which calls for ever smaller components. To solve this problem, Camozzi offers an ingenious solution in the form of its miniature valve for liquid media. The company is well-versed in micro solenoid valves for gases and has many years of experience in the field of analytics. It is this expertise that led to the development of the new K8DV miniature valve.
The K8DV series meets the requirements for controlling aggressive or temperature-sensitive media as part of various analytical functions. One example application is the dosing and control of flushing liquids, such as ionised water for liquid handling on HPLC devices. The valve’s integrated isolation diaphragm prevents all internal valve parts from coming into contact with the medium. The different diaphragm materials – such as FKM, EPDM or FFKM – and the PEEK valve body allow the valves to be used in a vast range of applications
including medicine, analytical technology, chemicals and pharmaceutics, biotechnology, etc.
The maximum nominal width is 0.7 mm, allowing a flow rate of Kv = 0.1 l/min to be achieved. The valve is available with a voltage of 24, 12 and 6 V and has a power consumption of 0.6 W.
It comes in a cartridge design or a version that can be mounted on a manifold base. Together with the small external dimensions, this means it can be used in both stationary and portable laboratory equipment.
