The series 260 mechanical expansion coupling from Vorwald impresses with its robust design featuring aluminium expansion leaves. It is ideal for cores made of cardboard, aluminium, plastic and steel, and delivers a reliable clamping force thanks to its “inclined plane” functional principle. When a lock nut or hexagonal nut is actuated, a cone is pushed under the expansion leaves. This presses them outwards while ensuring precise, centred clamping. As a result, the expansion coupling is particularly suitable for applications with low to medium winding build-up requirements. Series 260 is easy to handle, enables quick changeover to different core diameters and ensures a high winding speed.
