Durable, precise, and compact reed switches for magnetic piston position detection.
Magnetic proximity Reed Switches CSB and CSC with reed contact technology offer dependable performance for automation systems.
In the field of industrial automation, magnetic proximity switches are crucial for accurate and non-contact position sensing. The CSB and CSC series reed switches are compact and reliable devices designed to detect the position of magnetic pistons in actuators and grippers, such as model CGL.
These sensors operate using a reed contact, a mechanical switching element that is activated by a magnetic field. Once the internal contact is actuated, it completes an electrical circuit, enabling output signals for direct activation of solenoid valves or programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
Both models support a wide voltage range from 3 to 110 V AC/DC, making them highly versatile. They are IP66-rated for protection against dust and strong water jets, and their plastic bodies are encapsulated in epoxy resin to ensure durability in demanding environments.
Installation is straightforward – they are designed to fit directly into the grooves of gripper profiles. A red LED indicator provides visual confirmation when the switch is active. The switches feature normally open (NO) contact configuration, fast switching times (<1 ms), and load capacities up to 8 W (DC) or 10 VA (AC).
Whether for use in compact grippers or pneumatic cylinders, CSB and CSC reed switches offer cost-effective, reliable solutions for position sensing in automation systems.
