Advanced Angular Sprue Grippers for Efficient Injection Molding Automation
Sprue Grippers – series RPGA
The RPGA series of sprue grippers is designed for high-performance applications in the plastic injection molding sector. These angular, not self-centering, single-acting grippers operate in a normally open configuration and are built to ensure strong and reliable gripping. The 20 mm piston directly transmits force to the fingers, resulting in a gripping force of 90 N and a torque of 310 Ncm at 6 bar. This makes them ideal for safely and efficiently removing molded parts. Available models include flat, curved, short fingers, and versions with sensor slots for inductive detection. Constructed with anodized aluminum and PU seals, the RPGA grippers are resistant to wear and require no lubrication. They function within a pressure range of 2.5 to 8 bar, temperatures from 0°C to 60°C, and reach a maximum frequency of 2.5 Hz. Ports are G1/8, and weights range from 120 g to 125 g depending on the model.
Sprue Grippers – SERIES RPGB
Compact, lightweight, and highly efficient, the RPGB series is tailored for applications where space is limited, yet reliable gripping is critical. These angular, not self-centering, single-acting grippers are also normally open and come in 8 mm and 12 mm sizes. With gripping forces of 7 N and 30 N respectively, and gripping torques of up to 90 Ncm, the RPGB series is perfect for small molded parts. The D models are equipped with pre-mounted magnetic sensors (CSD-D-364) for piece detection. Manufactured from anodized aluminum with HNBR seals, they are built for durability and long-term wear resistance. Operating at a maximum frequency of 3 Hz, with working pressure from 2.5 to 8 bar, and temperatures between 0°C to 60°C, RPGB grippers use M5 ports and require no lubrication. Weights range from just 15 g to 50 g, ensuring minimal impact on robotic arm dynamics.
