Our precision locking assembly is designed to reliably transmit the highest torques and axial forces, while meeting demanding requirements regarding the concentricity of the clamped components. It is also ideal for applications where bending moments occur.

Its outstanding centering capability ensures precise alignment and secure transmission of forces. Moreover, it can handle combined loads of bending moments and radial forces.

Typical applications where our precision locking assembly is excellently suited include conveyor drum drives, crusher rotors, and precision drives—applications where ultimate precision and reliability are essential.

  • Precision locking assembly for transmitting the highest torques and axial forces with special requirements for concentricity, and suitable for applications subjected to bending moments.
  • High transmittable circumferential forces – the long, shallow cone angles enable the transmission of extremely high torques and axial forces. During assembly, the locking assembly, shaft, and hub remain in position, offering additional safety compared to 3-part designs. The shaft and hub are only subjected to compression.
  • Bending moments and radial loads – combined loads can be transmitted.
  • Excellent centering – thanks to the centering collar and relatively wide design.

The values for T, Fax, pW and pN apply to lubricated, installed assemblies.

Surface finish
Shaft and hub bore: Ra ≤ 3.2 μm

Tolerances
Recommended fitting tolerances:

  • Shaft: h8
  • Hub: H8

Arrangement of multiple RfN 7015.0 assemblies
A maximum of 2 locking assemblies may be installed in sequence. Transmission values from the table are doubled accordingly.

Change in tightening torques
A reduction in surface pressure and transmission values is possible by lowering the tightening torque of the screws. The lower limit is 0.8 × TA. The values for T, TA, Fax, pW, and pN are directly proportional.
