Housed D & DH Motors

Housed Direct Drive Rotary (DDR)

Kollmorgen

Housed DDR servomotors offer high torque density, precise performance and zero maintenance in an easily installed servo solution.

Kollmorgen have combined their expertise in drive technology to develop Direct Drive Rotary (DDR) solutions.
The use of DDR motors is becoming increasingly common, as their advantageous features surpass those of conventional servo systems.

Kollmorgen used 50 years electormechanical and electromagnetical experience in their Direct Drive Rotary and Direct Drive Linear system solutions.

The DDR and DDL engines will use more and more frequent, as shown beneficial properties in addition to conventional servo systems.

These direct drives using the advantages of conventional servo systems, but these drives have not mechanical transmission, that’s why increase the accuracy of system and reduce the maintenance costs. These drives directly connecting to driven loads and lose the components of conventional drive systems.

Kollmorgen Housed Direct Drive Rotary (DDR) motors offer high performance and zero maintenance in a precision servo solution. These motors combine large diameter, short length and a high number of magnetic poles to provide outstanding torque density, while eliminating the need for gearboxes, timing belts and other transmission components.
