Ideal for confined installation spaces
Narrow locking assembly made of stainless steel.
Narrow locking assembly made of stainless steel
The RfN 7012 stainless steel locking assembly transmits high forces and torques. Ideal for confined spaces, compensates for tolerance deviations, and self-releasing during disassembly. Contains no moving parts on the shaft and hub, reusable. Not self-centering. Applications include: chain wheels, levers, belt pulleys, shaft-mounted gear units, conveyor drums, impellers, and rope pulleys.

Applications
Locking Assembly Installation
Locking assemblies are delivered lightly oiled and ready for installation. The values for T, Fax, pW, and pN apply in the delivered condition.
Recommended installation tolerances:
To avoid excessive deformation of the relatively thick pressure rings, the assembly should be positioned symmetrically between shaft and hub bore. If the shaft is smaller than nominal d, the bore should be larger than nominal D by the same amount, and vice versa. Runout quality is defined by the direct centering between shaft and hub.
Arrangement of multiple RfN 7012 stainless steel units
If multiple assemblies are used, the transmission values from the table can be added if the units are spaced within a distance of 4·L.
Adjustment of screw tightening torques
The assemblies are equipped with A2-70 grade screws. Reduced torque is possible by tightening the screws with less force.
Extraction Threads
To ease disassembly, auxiliary threads are provided in the front pressure rings.
