Locking elements provide a wear-resistant, maintenance-friendly, and especially space-saving solution for friction-locked shaft–hub connections, and they are also highly economical. Originally developed based on proven friction spring technology, they consist of an outer and an inner conical ring that together form a mechanical connection between the shaft and the mounted component. The clamping is achieved through the user's appropriate design of the hub and shaft.
Our high-precision and high-performance locking elements of the RfN 8006 series are available in both solid (unslotted) versions and slotted variants for lower clamping forces. They offer great flexibility and can be optimally adapted to a wide range of applications. This makes them ideal for reliably transmitting low to medium torques and axial forces.
