The three-piece locking assembly, specially designed for transmitting bending moments, is characterized by reduced stress within the assembly. This enables the secure transmission of the required loads using an RfN 7515 locking assembly. During installation, the assembly and the hub shift slightly in the axial direction.

A key feature of this locking assembly is its ability to transmit combined bending moments and radial loads. For detailed applications and load conditions, it is recommended to consult our technical specialists for the best solution.

The wide construction ensures excellent centering capability, which is advantageous in various use cases such as belt drums and press drives.

  • Precision locking assembly for transmitting torques, axial forces, and optimized specifically for bending moments, with high requirements for concentricity of the clamped parts.
  • Highlights – The long, shallow cone angles allow the required loads to be transmitted with a single RfN 7515 assembly. During assembly, the locking unit and hub shift slightly in the axial direction.

Installation Notes

  • Values for T, Fax, pW and pN apply to locking assemblies installed in an oiled condition.

Surface Finish

  • Shaft and hub bore: Ra ≤ 1.6 μm

Recommended Tolerances

  • Shaft: h8
  • Hub: H8

Adjustment of Screw Tightening Torque

  • Surface pressure and transmission values can be reduced by tightening screws with less torque.
  • The minimum allowable limit is TA value × 0.5.
  • The values T, TA, Fax, pW and pN are directly related.
