RfN 7015.1 locking assembly

Five-piece precision locking assembly, self-centering. No axial displacement of hub or shaft. Suitable for bending moments. Reduced surface pressure.
Our precision locking assembly RfN 7015.1 is specially designed to reliably transmit high torques and axial forces. It meets special requirements for the concentricity of the clamped parts and is also suitable for applications where bending moments are involved.

A standout feature of this assembly is the reduced surface pressure on the shaft and hub. This ensures not only secure transmission of forces but also protects the components involved.

Typical applications where the RfN 7015.1 is ideally suited include belt drums and press drives, where high precision and reliability are essential.

• Locking assembly for transmitting torques, axial forces, and high bending moments with reduced surface pressure, while meeting strict concentricity requirements of the clamped components.
• Key characteristics – thanks to the long and shallow cone angles, required loads can be transmitted using a single RfN 7015.1 assembly. During installation, the relative positions of assembly, shaft, and hub remain unchanged, ensuring greater safety compared to three-piece designs. Shaft and hub are subjected only to compressive loads.
• Bending moments and radial loads – combined loads can be transmitted reliably.
• Excellent centering capability – ensured by the centering shoulder and wide design.

Installation Notes

• Values for T, Fax, pW and pN apply to locking assemblies installed in a lightly oiled condition.

Surface Finish

• Shaft and hub bore: Ra ≤ 3.2 μm

Recommended Tolerances

• Shaft: h8
• Hub: H8

Use of Multiple RfN 7015.1 Assemblies

• Maximum of 2 assemblies may be installed directly in series. In this case, the transmission values are doubled.

Tightening Torque Adjustment

• It is possible to reduce surface pressure and transmission values by tightening the screws with reduced torque.
• The minimum allowable limit is 0.5 × TA value.
• The values T, TA, Fax, pW and pN are directly proportional.
