Five-piece precision locking assembly, self-centering.
Our precision locking assembly is designed to reliably transmit the highest torques and axial forces while meeting demanding requirements for concentricity between the clamped components. This assembly is also ideal for applications where bending moments occur.
Its outstanding centering capability ensures precise alignment and secure force transmission. Additionally, it can handle combined loads from bending moments and radial forces.
Typical applications where this precision locking assembly excels include belt drums, crusher rotors, and precision drives. In these use cases, maximum accuracy and reliability are critical.
Product Features
- Precision locking assembly for transmitting the highest torques and axial forces with strict concentricity requirements, also suitable for applications involving bending moments.
- High circumferential force transmission – long, shallow cone angles enable the RfN 7015.0 to transmit extremely high torques and axial forces. During installation, the locking assembly, shaft, and hub maintain their positions, offering added safety over three-piece versions. Shaft and hub are loaded exclusively in compression.
- Bending moments and radial loads – combined loads can be reliably transmitted.
- Excellent centering capability – achieved through a centering shoulder and relatively wide design.
Typical Applications
- Belt drums
- Crusher rotors
- Precision drives
Installation Notes
- Values for T, Fax, pW and pN apply to lightly oiled, installed locking assemblies.
Surface Finish
- Shaft and hub bore: Ra ≤ 3.2 μm
Recommended Tolerances
Use of Multiple RfN 7015.0 Assemblies
- A maximum of 2 assemblies can be installed directly in series.
- In this case, the transmission values are doubled.
Tightening Torque Adjustment
- Surface pressure and transmission values can be reduced by lowering the screw tightening torque.
- The allowable lower limit is 0.8 × TA value.
- The values T, TA, Fax, pW and pN are directly proportional.
