Precision locking assembly for high torque transmission
The RfN 7015.1 precision locking assembly is specially designed to reliably transmit high torques and axial forces. It meets strict requirements for the runout of the clamped components and is also suitable for applications involving bending moments.
A key feature of this locking assembly is the reduced surface pressure on the shaft and hub, ensuring safe force transmission while protecting the components.
Typical application areas include conveyor drums and press drives, where high precision and reliability are essential.
Product Features
- Locking assembly for transmitting torques, axial forces, and high bending moments under reduced surface pressures, with strict requirements for concentricity of the clamped parts.
- Highlights – Thanks to the long, flat cone angles, the RfN 7015.1 is capable of handling high loads. During installation, the locking assembly, shaft, and hub maintain their position relative to each other, providing additional safety compared to 3-part types. Shaft and hub are subjected only to compressive loading.
- Bending moments and radial loads – can be transmitted in combination.
- Excellent centering capability – due to the centering collar and relatively wide design.
Applications
- Conveyor drums
- Press drives
Installation Information
- Values for T, Fax, pW, and pN apply to oiled locking assemblies.
Surface Finish
- Shaft and hub bore: Ra ≤ 3.2 μm
Recommended Tolerances
Use of Multiple RfN 7015.1 Assemblies
- A maximum of 2 locking assemblies may be installed directly one after the other. In such cases, the transmissible values in the table are doubled.
Adjustment of Bolt Tightening Torque
- Surface pressure and transmissible values can be reduced by tightening the screws with lower torque. The minimum permissible torque is 0.5 × TA. Values for T, TA, Fax, pW, and pN are directly proportional.
