The new SWD® powered wheel range from IDEC (formerly ez-Wheel) includes a variety of solutions that enable complete mobility and autonomous movement of all production and logistics equipment, helping facilitate the automation of tomorrow’s smart factories.

The new SWD® powered wheels are now equipped with standard CANopen CiA/DS 402 interfaces for motor control.

They are compatible with most existing industrial automation systems and easily integrate with safety laser scanners and safety edges available on the market, forming a SIL2/PLd safety-rated system.

Designed for the most demanding industrial environments, SWD® motorized wheels combine electric traction capabilities with an embedded control system, allowing them to navigate autonomously and safely within their operating environment.

 

SWD125

• Wheel diameter: 125 mm
• Supports up to 250 kg static load
• Moves up to 500 kg at 2 m/s
• IP66-rated control unit
• Flat-profile PU tire, 80 Shore A
• Integrated safe motion control and safety encoder

 

SWD150

• Wheel diameter: 150 mm
• Capable of moving up to 1500 kg
• IP66-rated control unit
• Flat-profile PU tire, 92 Shore A
• Integrated safe motion functionalities
• Maximum vertical load: up to 700 kg
• Speed range: 0 to 3 km/h
