ACE Vibration-Isolating Pads SLAB

The ACE viscoelastic damping foam (ACE-SLAB) is a patented, custom damping technology that provides new possibilities for damping large surfaces or creating specific geometric shapes. ACE damping foam is therefore ideal for numerous applications involving shock absorption, vibration isolation, or noise reduction.

This damping foam can be custom-cut into two dimensions according to needs or molded as a part (plate size of 1,500 mm * 5,000 mm, thicknesses 12.5 mm or 25 mm).

Additionally, various protective coatings open the door to an infinite number of applications not previously covered by traditional technologies, all while maintaining its performance under temperatures ranging from -5°C to 50°C.

  • SLAB030 to SLAB300: Energy absorption capacity from 3.1 N/Cycle to 210 Nm/Cycle – Density from 170 kg/m³ to 480 kg/m³ – Stroke length from 6.5 mm to 12.5 mm.

 

 

Application Example: An Innovative Damping System Combining SLAB Foam and TUBUS Shock Absorbers

The SLAB-TUBUS combination ensures rapid baggage transport. Airports aim to minimize passenger waiting times, achieved with a solution specifically designed for baggage handling systems that overcomes previous damping issues.

Transport carts weighing up to 120 kg can now move at the desired speed of conveyor belts. A combination of SLAB foam and two TA-type TUBUS profile shock absorbers is used in this application.
