Standard Gas Springs (Steel or Stainless Steel)

Lift, Lower, Open, or Close Efficiently Without External Power

Also known as gas springs, these components reduce manual effort across various applications. They help alleviate operator strain and minimise the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). Consequently, they are widely used in industrial sectors. Beyond automotive and furniture (home, office, kitchen), numerous applications exist in various machines and equipment.

Available Gas Springs

  • Compression Gas Springs – QS Series (Steel)

Available in six sizes with a filling valve, diameters ranging from 12 mm to 40 mm, stroke lengths from 20 mm to 1000 mm, and initial force (F1) from 20 N to 5000 N.

  • Compression Gas Springs – QSI Series (316L Stainless Steel) and QSIN Series (304 Stainless Steel)

Available in four sizes for 316L and two sizes for 304 stainless steel, each with an integrated filling valve, diameters from 15 mm to 28 mm, stroke lengths from 60 mm to 400 mm, and F1 from 20 N to 2500 N.

  • Tension Gas Springs – QZ Series

Available in two sizes with a filling valve, diameters from 19 mm to 28 mm, stroke lengths from 30 mm to 600 mm, and F1 from 30 N to 1500 N.
All models are in stock with a filling/deflating valve to adjust the force according to your needs. The force is tailored to your application, and delivery is made within 24 to 48 hours.

Applications of Gas Springs

  • Assist the movement of a load by limiting manual or mechanical effort without external power (e.g., opening a hood or hatch)
  • Balance the weight of a mass (e.g., table top)
  • Adjust and maintain a locked position (e.g., chair backrest)
  • Push, pull, lower, or position a load

Advantages :

  • Exceptional corrosion resistance through electrostatic powder coating on the body and CeramPro® treatment on the rod (216 h corrosion resistance per DIN 50021 SS for steel versions)
  • Rod lubrication ensured in any mounting position by the grease chamber located in the front bearing
  • Multiple mounting accessories available: eyelets, radial ball joints, axial ball joints, forks, threads
  • Protection against vibrations and low radial stresses
  • Possibility of custom-made gas springs (from 1 to 10,000 pieces per batch)
  • Adaptable dimensions (stroke, total length, force, mounting ends)
  • Integrated grease chamber allowing positioning and storage in all positions, including horizontal or rod-up
  • Free determination by our design office, provision of an installation diagram and force curve with our commercial proposal
