High-Performance Electric Drive Motor

I&W Electric Traction Motors

The electric traction motors from our Swiss partner I&W are composed of a high-performance brushless electric motor, an epicyclic gear reducer, a parking brake with power loss protection, an encoder or resolver, and a temperature probe.

These motors are specifically designed to improve the performance of vehicles by replacing hydraulic drive motors or differential transaxles with gearboxes and internal combustion engines.

Their compactness, the result of years of development and a patented design, allows them to replace all existing hydraulic drivetrains in the same form factor:

  • Diameter: 160 mm to 350 mm
  • Voltage: 24 Vdc to 800 Vdc
  • Max torque: 931 Nm to 37,790 Nm
  • Max rotational speed: 30 rpm to 160 rpm
  • Two or three-stage planetary epicyclic gearbox
  • Suitable for off-road vehicles or robots ranging from 1,500 kg to 70,000 kg

Benefits:

  • Energy Efficiency: Reduced consumption while maintaining high performance and efficiency.
  • Versatile Applications: Used in sectors such as agriculture, logistics, and construction.
  • Durability: Long lifespan thanks to robust and reliable components.
  • Advanced Technology: Brushless motors with compact epicyclic mechanical reducers, making integration into any type of vehicle or mobile robot easy.

Why Choose BIBUS France?

BIBUS France goes beyond expectations! In addition to helping you select the most suitable drive system for your machine, our engineering team analyzes the entire traction chain, which can include:

  • I&W traction motors in standard or customized versions (optimized stator size, winding, or tailor-made gear reducers to reduce energy consumption)
  • Low-voltage inverters (12 – 24 – 72 – 96 Vdc) or high-voltage inverters (400 or 750 Vac)
  • Appropriate cabling
  • Electrical enclosures (ventilation, wiring, disconnect systems, displays, indicators)
  • Batteries (voltage, chemistry, autonomy) and their Battery Management System (BMS)
  • Vehicle controllers and their programming
  • Control devices (radio remotes, joysticks, touchscreens, buttons, throttles, etc.)
  • Auxiliary systems (hydraulic pumps, electric actuators for lifting or steering, etc.)
