ECKART’s E1 series actuators incorporate the latest technological advancements in the field, such as optional optimized end-of-stroke damping, hardened gear teeth, perfect sealing, and bearings designed to withstand high loads.
Based on a dual helical gear design, these actuators offer an exceptionally compact footprint.
They are designed for applications with operating pressures up to 100 bar. Depending on the size, the E1 series can deliver torques of up to 2,450 Nm at 100 bar.
A wide range of options including adjustable rotation angles, end-of-stroke damping, position sensing, and various output shaft types gives the E1 series outstanding flexibility, making it easy to customize the actuator to suit specific application requirements.
Specially developed for mobile applications, the E3 series combines compact design with high performance. Suitable for construction, agricultural machinery, lifting equipment, as well as stationary systems like machine tools or special-purpose machines, this series offers torques up to 3,600 Nm at 210 bar.
For example, on an aerial work platform, the E3 actuator can be mounted at the end of a boom to rotate the basket. The actuator can also bear external loads (to be validated by calculation).
An additional advantage: the hollow shaft design allows for hoses or electrical cables to be routed through the center, or even for a pass-through shaft.
Integrated counterbalance valves are available as an option, offering load-holding, end-of-stroke damping, and pressure limitation.
The SM4 series features the same state-of-the-art technology as the E1: optimized end-of-stroke damping, hardened gear teeth, robust sealing, and heavy-duty bearings.
Like the E1, the SM4 uses a dual helical gear system for a compact design but is built for higher pressures, supporting up to 250 bar. Depending on size, the SM4 can reach torques up to 85,000 Nm at 250 bar.
The rotation angle can be adjusted ±5° as standard, along with fine-tuning of the key position, making both installation and operation easier.
Various options like end-of-stroke damping, position sensors, and output shaft configurations ensure the actuator is tailored precisely to the application.
