Various types of special gas compression spring from Bansbach
Gas compression springs with groove, easystop gas compression springs, Click & Go gas compression springs, CS gas compression springs and aluminium gas compression springs from Bansbach
Customised damping with the dynamic groove in the cylinder barrel
The groove in the cylinder barrel of this gas spring type allows the damping properties of the gas spring to be customised precisely to the customer’s requirements. In contrast to conventional gas springs, damping is not achieved via the nozzle, but is controlled by the groove in the cylinder. This results in many advantages. For instance, the damping is effective in any mounting position. Whether the spring is mounted horizontally or with the piston rod pointing upwards, the damping characteristics are always the same.
To enable the groove to be designed appropriately, detailed information is required concerning the application and desired function of the gas spring.

Thanks to its special valve technology, the easystop spring provides a holding force during retraction that enables infinitely variable positioning.
Locking is maintained at each point of the gas spring until the valve is opened by applying an additional force manually,
thereby releasing the locking mechanism. There is no need for actuation.

Thanks to the new Click System – which is integrated into the gas spring –
the gas spring can be locked in the retracted end position. This locking mechanism can be released again without the need for any further release systems. Pushing the piston rod in slightly causes it to perform the full stroke again.
Weight plays a particularly important role in the aviation and railway industries. It was for this reason that Bansbach developed a gas spring made entirely of aluminium. The aluminium gas spring is 50% lighter than a conventional gas spring.
