Insulation system
The WEG MICATHERM insulation system is based on the vacuum and pressure impregnation (VPI) process.
By relying on special epoxy resins, this system ensures perfect insulation of the motor coils using a process that is completely free of environmentally harmful gases. Over a period of many years, the VPI process has proven itself to be efficient and reliable for rotating electrical machines in a whole range of different applications. The insulation system is used for machines with a voltage of 380 to 15,000 V.
